A TO Z CHALLLENGE: LETTER G

Some of the things found in the world today actually have been around for quite some time. Here's a look at some food items that have been around since the 1800's.  Did YOU know when these items were created/invented?

gumbo

GUMBO: A soup thickened with okra pods and containing a variety of ingredients like meat, seafood, sausage, and vegetables.

GIN-SLING: A drink made from gin and water, usually flavored with either lemon or lime juice and sugar.

Blurb: Addie comes from a long line of readers or "story catchers" as her family likes to call themselves. Every time Addie tries to catch a story on her own the wiggly words play tricks on her. She tries different ways to make those words sit still but it will take a little faith for Addie to become the next STORY CATCHER.

    1. Hi Lenni and welcome to my blog! It's been a busy first week but I've managed to visit over 100 blogs and have 2 new followers so I would say it's a win/win! I try to visit EVERY blog participating in the A to Z Challenge (except the AC ones) over the course of a couple of months, and then I will return to my regular writerly posts here...;~)

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!
