"Here's a mountain goat by the name of Huck. Do you like his trend beard?"
Synopsis: Huck the goat loves flowers. In fact, Huck loves flowers so much he will do almost anything to get a bite of them. From mountain tops to bridges and the top of church steeples, Huck is on a mad dash for a tasty flowery treat but in the end he learns it's sometimes better to give than receive.
Why I liked it: Mr. Reynolds has drawn such a delightful Huck creation that I can't help but smile as I watch him scramble up the mountainside in search of a tasty flower to eat. The story is whimsical and has a rhythm readers young and old will enjoy as they wait to see if poor Huck ever gets his flowery meal.
Hi Donna .. I love the cover and can imagine Huck bucking and dashing around all over the place - great for kids' imaginations and mine! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary! This was another surprising story for me. I thought the cover was cute but really wasn't expecting to like it as much ss I did...;-)

Hi Alinka! The books I use for my A to Z Challenge are actually just books I've researched and loved...although one or two might be from my FREE AUTHOR PROMOTION contributing authors, but THOSE authors will generally be spotlighted after the challenge and carried throughout the rest of the year on my blog...
