A To Z Challenge: BOOK NOOK REVIEWS "E"

Title:  Elephant’s Story
Author/Illustrator: Tracey Campbell Pearson
Publisher:  Margaret Ferguson Books
Ages: 4-8

Synopsis:

The day Gracie loses her favoirt books, Elephant finds it.

Sniff-sniff and…OOPS! The words go up his trunk.

AH…AHH…AHHHH…CHOOOOO!

How will Elephant get the letters back into words and into the book where they belong?

His friends aren’t a whole lot of help.

What will Elephant do?

Why you should read it:

This book reminded me so much of my own book, THE STORY CATCHER. I love the illustrations and how Elephant really tries to put the letters back together. I also like his friends reactions to his call for help. This is a lovely addition to any beginner reader’s library.

Blurb:

Addie comes from a long line of readers or "story catchers" as her family likes to call themselves. Every time Addie tries to catch a story on her own the wiggly words play tricks on her. She tries different ways to make those words sit still but it will take a little faith for Addie to become the next STORY CATCHER.
