Why you should read it: I'm a country girl at heart and love when I can find a holiday story based outside of town. Throw in some snow and farm animals and I'm definitely hooked. Ms. Noble manages to draw her readers into a world where people can coexist with nature and even the destruction of a favorite apple tree can become a Christmas surprise.
