Those statistics are AMAZING! I assure you, most people don't have anything like that in their first year of blogging. You ROCK, sister!

    1. Hi Beth! Like I've mentioned before, I really have nothing to compare these stats to, so I have to presume everyone has these kind of numbers their first year. I am constantly surprised by my lovely followers...their support and their interaction creates such powerful positive vibes for my writing...I can't describe it...but I will always be grateful!

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!

    1. Hi Tamara...I'm glad you found me! In answer to your question...I feel I was really lucky when I decided to return to my writing almost 2 years ago. I met an amazing lady online by the name of Tara Lazar. She had an event last November called PiBoIdMo (Picture Book Idea Month). I participated and met hundreds of writing enthusiasts, some of whom became my new friends. I did so well with that event (ended up with 45 picture book ideas) that I decided to start a blog and jumped into the whole blogging world on Dec 6, 2011. I joined the PiBoIdMo Facebook group and picked up followers from there.

In January, 2012, another amazing lady, Julie Hedlund, decided to create the 12 X 12 in 2012 event (writing at least one picture book manuscript per month for an entire year). I'm participating in that event and joined her 12 X 12 Facebook group where I picked up more followers there.

Then yet another amazing lady by the name of Beth Stilborn announced the Children's Book Hub Facebook group was being created. I joined that group as well and picked up more followers. I read a lot of blogs and comment often, I participated in the A to Z challenge, held my own blog contests, and do blog hops whenever I can.

In other words, I connect with a lot of people every day. But the most important thing I do is create the best blog posts I know how...informative, entertaining, personal, and inspirational so that anyone stopping by my blog will know this can be a fun place to visit and hopefully they will come back for more! ;~)

Good luck with the new blog...sorry about your friend's passing...

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!
