Life's Little Hurdles

Life can be challenging.  Full of hurdles.  No one said it would be easy.  Some of us might even need a helping hand.  But there are those of us who always rise to meet that challenge.  We simply don't give up no matter what.

Then there are those of us who let those hurdles get in our way of meeting our goals.  We scratch our heads, look all around us, and simply can not figure out a way around those obstacles.  That's when life's little hurdles stop us in our tracks and prevents us from reaching the next level.

I guess writers could be categorized into two groups...those who are stars and those who are shadows.  The stars meet life's little hurdles head on.  They do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.  Stars climb over, crawl under, or break through any barriers between them and their destination.  It's the stars who leave the shadows behind to sit around and wonder what was that bright, shining object that passed them by?

For stars, the sky is the limit.  Which one are you?

    1. Hi Pam! I looked at that picture and couldn't tell if that child was the victim of a war torn area, a natural weather disaster area, or that was simply her playground but it definitely made me stop and wonder so it HAD to be in today's post...;0)

    1. Hi Gina and welcome to my blog! I visited your blog and read your incredible story of bullying you had to endure. I have left my comment and became a new follower. Unfortunately bullying has been around forever (I was bullied and my son was bullied) but you managed to overcome a tremendous hurdle when you chose to stand up to your cousin...even when you were sure of the outcome.

  4. Love that first pic!

I'd say I'm in the first group. I have four kiddos, so everything must be dealt with head-on. lol

    1. I would agree with you, Sheri, that I too follow the star's path regarding life's hurdles. There is only one hurdle in my life that I "shadow" but hopefully one day I will leave that one in the dust as well...;0)

  7. I like to believe I follow the stars, but I know I stumble into the shadows every now and then. Here's to shooting for the stars!
