A TO Z CHALLLENGE: LETTER E

Some of the things found in the world today actually have been around for quite some time. Here's a look at some food items that have been around since the 1800's.  Did YOU know when these items were created?

 egg nog

EGG NOG:  A drink made from a mixture of beaten eggs, cream, and flavorings with alcohol sometimes added as well.

ENGLISH MUFFIN:  A flat circular spongy bread roll made from yeast dough, split in two, before being toasted before being eaten.

Blurb: Addie comes from a long line of readers or "story catchers" as her family likes to call themselves. Every time Addie tries to catch a story on her own the wiggly words play tricks on her. She tries different ways to make those words sit still but it will take a little faith for Addie to become the next STORY CATCHER.

  1. My husband likes eggnog for Christmas, with Rum. I'm allergic to eggs; none for me. I do eat English muffins, though.

    1. Hi Debbie! I'm not a fan of eggnog at all but my sister loves it. I'm like you, though, and like me an English Muffin every once in awhile...;~)

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!

  2. I love eggnog at Christmas. The liquor store near our house has this fabulous frozen eggnog daiquiri. It's made with rum, brandy and whisky, but you can't even taste the alcohol. That's the problem though. It taste so good and then boom it goes straight to my head wihout any warning so I have to really watch out and only have one.
