Why should you read it: I have expanded my writing into the world of creative nonfiction. With that expansion comes the unwavering interest in discovering little known facts about people and historical events. This book gives me the chance to combine both. Not every new place was first visited by a white males and Mr. Hudson gives us a chance to peek into the lives of notable African American explorers and the contributions they made to history.
