**This week's BOOK NOOK REVIEWS shines a spotlight on great books provided by some of the authors participating in my annual FREE AUTHOR PROMOTION event held each May in my city. Help support these new and established authors by checking out their books!***

Title: The Lost Diadem: A Rogue's Tale Part I
Author: Saoirse O'Mara
Cover Art: Svenja Liv
Publisher: Amazon.com
Ages: Young Adult

Synopsis: What does one lost artifact, a street urchin, and a newly appointed City Guard of Davon have in common? A lot it seems when 13-year old Tayla decides to pick the wrong pocket and ends up arrested by Govin. But a simple theft turns into something bigger as Tayla soon faces the possibility of going to prison or worse when a diadem is lost and she is accused of taking it. Defying his orders to protect the city, Govin frees Tayla  to begin an adventure to locate the diadem and clear Tayla's name.

Why you should read it: Because I also write young adult fantasy, I was intrigued by Ms. O'Mara's book. Younger teenagers will find this book full of likeable characters and some interesting twists to the story line. There are two other books in this series to tempt readers of this genre.

Like-O-Meter Rating: 4 out of 5...give it a try!
