  1. Wow, Donna! You're sure on the ball. Did you create your curriculum guide yourself?

    1. Hi Tina! Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I created my CURRICULUM SUPPLEMENT on my own, but it was only after much, much research online as well as studying Marcie Colleen's incredible work on her own teacher's guide service she provides for authors. I work with an almost non-existent budget so must figure things out for myself...;~)

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!

  2. Yes, you are on the ball!!! And did you create this curr/guide with help from -where? If it was all you, you definitely are on the ball. I'm trying to come up with "back matter" - or maybe, I'm not saying that right, and maybe I want to have a teacher curriculum guide also. Glad to see you've done so much already.

  3. Excuse me for not reading your response, Donna. I was so excited to see Tina Cho's comment, I didn't even see yours at the moment. Is this Marcie Colleen's work in a book or how do I get some extra help here?

  4. Hi Virginia! I started out by researching a lot of different author websites that had classroom aids listed on them. There are also websites out there that lets you create things like crossword puzzles and word scrambles using your own words. I also had a copy of the Common Core loaded on my phone for reference. Then I looked at Marcie's website for general ideas on formatting. Finally I sat down with my book and started picking it apart to see where I can draw from it for the lessons and worksheets. Over the weekend I spent about 15-20 working on creating the games and getting everything put together in a final Word or PDF document. If you have the budget set aside for this type of thing, I would DEFINITELY recommend contacting Marcie Colleen at www.thisismarciecolleen.com to get her expertise on creating a teacher's guide for your book. She is definitely the expert in doing this type of thing and could create a guide to cover whatever areas you want to focus on!

Good luck and thanks for stopping by. Come back any time!
