I feel like books shaped most of my childhood--probably more than anything else. It's no wonder I grew up to write stories!Tamarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04070551912944266954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382427031631027145.post-49748520743383597262012-10-07T12:01:55.029-04:002012-10-07T12:01:55.029-04:00You are so right, Janet. They were my escape routes, my magic carpet rides and my life line to take me away from my childhood. I picked up 32 two picture books just the other day...thinking I would read one a day for the month of October...how silly of me to think I could pace myself like that! I have already read them all and need to go back to the library next week for more! ;~)

Thanks for stopping by and come back any time!Think Positive, Be Positivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03981805086599633473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382427031631027145.post-72120458204957799082012-10-07T11:56:32.535-04:002012-10-07T11:56:32.535-04:00Hi Karen! Donna, think of all the times when we only had books for entertainment and comfort. Then remove those books. Would we have lived through any of it? Your house and car would have been neater if your son didn't have a book in every room and a couple of them in your car. And how dull would your lives have been? i have 12 books on my couch right now. The bookshelves are full.
I used to be afraid that libraries would run out of books for me to read. Thank goodness for new writers.janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10141814249963307041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382427031631027145.post-56867363070563175722012-10-07T08:28:47.032-04:002012-10-07T08:28:47.032-04:00I could have written a book like that.
